Tour Details
This tour takes you to Serengeti to witness the Great Migration. Over 2 million Wildebeest, Zebra and Gazelles move through the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystem in search of green pastures and safe calving ground. The biggest chance to see river crossing in the Serengeti is around July and August when the wildebeest migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya or around September and October when they cross the way around. Mid July marks the possible start of the start of the Masai Mara River crossing as well as mating season in the Serengeti. It is the time of the year when wildebeest herds begin moving faster towards the northern parts of the Serengeti in search of water and greener grass; making their way across the Grumeti and Mara River.

We leave after breakfast and jump into our Safari Land cruiser for a 3 hour transfer to Taasa Private Reserve where you will proceed with game drive experience in Lobo valley followed by bush dinner and overnight at your Camp/ Lodge.
Game viewing at Lobo Valley
The spectacular Lobo River Valley simply offers the finest wildlife viewing in the Northern Serengeti. Wildlife viewing at Lobo is at its best during the late dry season from mid-July to late November and peaks at the end of the dry season from about mid-September to late November when animal concentrations are at their highest. At the end of the dry season Lobo offers perhaps the best wildlife viewing in the whole of East Africa, as the migratory herds tend to pass through or stagnate in the Lobo Valley during their southward migration.
The legendary wildebeest migration thunders through Lobo twice a year including July and August (during the northward migration) and September through November (during the southward migration.) The southward wildebeest migration is much more pronounced than the northward migration at Lobo since the animals seem to linger in the valley for longer periods of time on their southern journey.
Full day to explore the Serengeti’s wonders, witness the grandeur of its wildlife, the vastness of its plains and the magic of its ever-changing landscape; drive back to your Camp for dinner and overnight.
Another day to explore the complex ecosystem of the Serengeti national park and drive to central Serengeti (Sefonera valley) to observe its vast habitat; dinner and overnight at the lodge/ Camp
The day starts early with a sunrise game drive (before breakfast) – today you will have a high chance of seeing the major cat families such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. We then transfer to Ngorongoro for an afternoon game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater floor and head to our Lodge for dinner & overnight.
Morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park - our experienced driver guide knows the best areas inside the park to enjoy game viewing the most; then we transfer to Arusha.
